Introducing the Nelly Collection: Handmade Earrings with a Story 💚✨
The name "Nelly" holds a special place in my heart, as it reminds me of my mother's best friend who took care of me during my childhood and offered unwavering support during the darkest times. While today's story isn't about her, I know I'll share more on that in the future.
Meet Nelly, my dear friend from Brooklyn, a fellow French expat and an absolute powerhouse! We met when our children attended the same international school and we, as moms, were desperately trying to become bilingual by taking English classes.
Nelly is a warrior, a fighter, and a marathon runner! She leads her life with passion and determination, never content with sitting idle or being defined by her role as a "wife of." During the pandemic, she started baking bread for neighbors and friends. A year later, she partnered with two other talented bakers, and together they became the Brooklyn French Bakers! Nelly's dedication shone through as their croissant named the best in New York just one year later! Her incredible strength and resilience inspire me to no end.
Inspired by Nelly's spirit, I've created this collection of handmade earrings in gorgeous shades of khaki green, adorned with bronze jump rings. Each piece is a celebration of Nelly's courage, and a reminder that we too can overcome challenges and achieve great things.
